My mom lived in an assisted living facility for 2 year prior to pandemic. I had to bring her back in my house when pandemic hit. Her facility was in lock down as many others, it was difficult for entire family not able to see her in a weekly basis. I played uno with my mom every weekend on Saturdays and my brother picked her up on Sundays for church service then lunch at his house, with pandemic our routine was wiped out before our eyes. I decided to bring mom to my house. We signed contract with two other agencies, they sent a different Caregiver everyday. And sometimes no one came, even though I worked from home, I was stuck with two jobs! My job and taking care of my mom. In June, my step mom had both knees replaced. When we brought her home she needed help with everything from bathing, meals preparation, errands, toileting,, to name a few, her physical therapist suggested we call, Serenity In Home Care Services. We hired them for my lovely stepmother, they were wonderful fox. I had to go back to work in Texas, they have me in the “family room” in their clear care app where I have ability to see all activities and updates. The caregivers helped her to call me daily during my commute from work. I truly appreciate all they’ve done for her. Great small company!
